Sensory Workshops
Since 2023, Danica has been facilitating sensory workshops for special education classrooms attending immersive performances for neurodivergent young people at Capitol Modern. These workshops both allow students to become familiar with the theme and design elements of the performance, as well as influence how props and materials are integrated into the performance.
Arts Integration Lessons: Paterson, NJ
Since 2012, Danica has been volunteering at elementary schools throughout Paterson New Jersey to incorporate theatre into the math, English, and social studies curriculum. Over the years, she has worked in Kindergarten through 8th grade classrooms, focusing on new content, as well as content that students have trouble grasping.

Dream, Seoul South Korea, 2018
Danica spent three weeks developing an immersive art installation with three Korean based artists. The development included working with a preschool in Seoul to explore our senses, which contributed to making an installation specifically for those young people. During her time there, she and her co-teacher, Young Nae Choi, explored what it means to fully integrate a non-native speaker into a workshop, and how to utilize various ways of non-verbal communication.
